MAZUNTE
Mazunte is located between Puerto Escondido and Puerto Angel. The quiet beaches with golden sand are ideal for swimming and diving. Visitors are welcome to the Mexican Center for Sea Turtle Research and Preservation, where they can see the different varieties of sea turtles from the region. This center was created to serve as a base for studies and projects when the area was declared as an ecological reserve because of the great quantity of turtles that arrive to lay their eggs on the beaches of the region.

PUERTO ANGEL
This closed bay is about one hour from Huatulco and one hour from Puerto Escondido. Puerto Angel is best known for the variety of beaches and bays that are formed by the hills and cliffs that for the coastline at this point. The most famous of the beaches in the area is Zipolite, which is known worldwide as a nudist beach; the surf there at Zipolite is quite dangerous so be careful if you want to swim but that won't stop you from enjoying the scenery and the sunsets.
